About Coronado Steel Company

Trusted in Alloy Castings and Fabrications Since the 1960s

Our Legacy

Since the early 1960s, Coronado Steel has carried forward Youngstown’s steelmaking tradition — not as a relic, but as a working foundry built for today’s demands. From our start as a small jobbing shop to our growth into a leading producer of high-alloy stainless castings and fabrications, we’ve kept the same focus: craftsmanship, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Our Commitment

We’re more than a foundry — we’re a partner in solving tough problems. From one-of-a-kind castings to full production runs, we work closely with our customers to develop reliable, cost- effective solutions that perform in the field. Every part we make is backed by the same commitment: do it right, and stand behind it.

Growth & Expansion

Over the decades, Coronado has expanded its facility eight times — now spanning more than 100,000 square feet across seven acres. Our workforce brings hundreds of years of combined metallurgical expertise, allowing us to:

  • Add larger induction furnaces and centrifugal casting machines
  • Expand machining and fabrication capabilities
  • Develop proprietary methods of blending stainless steel with exotic metals and alloys
  • Deliver year-over-year growth through innovation and performance

A New Chapter with Canerector & Foundrion Group

In 2024, Coronado Steel was acquired by Canerector, a leading North American industrial products and services provider. Through this acquisition, Coronado became part of the Foundrion Group — a network of eleven foundries with more than 600 years of combined expertise in sand casting and alloy manufacturing.

This partnership strengthens our capabilities, expands our reach, and ensures that Coronado continues to deliver exceptional value to industries requiring complex, heat-resistant, and high-performance alloy components.
